There are many ways of people to make a conversation. A common way is talking (Speaking). If there is a speaker, of course there is also a listener (Listening). Then, after people found of writings, people use written language (Writing) as a communication. If there is a written language, there must be someone who can understand (Reading) the written language itself.
Speaking, listening, writing and reading are called the four skills of language.
Speaking Skill
Is an ability to deliver everything that we wanted to express. Speaking skill also is an active language which means the ability to speak English properly. In speaking skill, the technique that we learn to speak is the pronunciations of words that are speak English.
Listening Skill
Is an English language proficiency in listening to someone spoken. In general, if we are from the Southeast Asian, the English language easier to listen. It caused of dialect or the way they talked just like our language in the pronunciation.
Writing Skill
Is the ability of slightly more complicated because in English writing we know the grammar, structure and wording. If any grammatical fail in the sentence of writing, it will be different meaning contained. In writing skill there are such thing tenses of wording in accordance to the time happened (eg. present tense, present continuous tense, past tense, past continuous tense, past perfect tense and so forth).
Reading Skill
In the reading skill we also learn about how to the words in the English language and increase the English vocabulary. In reading skill there are techniques of speed reading or scanning which mean we read the written language of English as a whole in a short time read the point of each text. In reading skill we can learn about the main idea, the topic of an English language reading and writing sentences supporting it.
